It depends on your experience level and the dance style you want to take.
🟢 New to Salsa or Bachata?
Our Intro and Beginner Salsa & Bachata classes follow 4-week course cycles, so you’ll want to start at the beginning of a new cycle.
Here’s how it works:
● Week 1: We start from the beginning and introduce the fundamentals.
● Weeks 2–4: We review what we learned previously while building on it with new material.
● End of Week 4: Your instructor will evaluate your progress and recommend your next step.
If you need more time to master the material, you may repeat the same level. If you’ve mastered the concepts and your instructor approves, you’ll move on to the next level.
Important: Once a 4-week beginner cycle has started, you cannot drop in. You must register for all 4 weeks of the cycle.
💡 Want to join but the current cycle has already started? You can register in advance for the next cycle so you’re ready to go from Week 1!

💃 Already Have Dance Experience?
You can start anytime!
Our upper-level Salsa & Bachata, Kizomba, and Hip-Hop classes are drop-in based, meaning you can join at any time as long as you’re at the appropriate level.
Each level has a set of concepts and skills you’ll work toward mastering before moving to the next level. Your instructor will let you know when you’re ready to advance.
Not sure what level you’re at? No problem! Contact us to schedule a placement and we’ll help you find the right class.

We offer a variety of classes for different dance styles and different levels. We have Salsa On2, Bachata, Hip-Hop, and Kizomba classes.
What style? The dance style right for you just depends on your personal preference. See the videos below for a visual of what the different dances look like.
What level? If you are an absolute beginner, you should look at the schedule for any INTRO classes, or LEVEL 1 for Hip-Hop. Dancers must complete AND master a full cyle (at least 4 weeks for Intro, 8 weeks for Level 1) before moving to the next level.
Evaluations are completed by instructors at the end of each session to determine someone’s level. Many times levels should be repeated for multiple sessions before graduating to the next level.

For all classes you should wear what is comfortable to you.
Clothing - Most students wear clothing similar to a workout or a casual night out.
Shoes- For Salsa & Bachata classes it is recommended that you wear a smooth bottom shoe with not too much grip as it can be hard on the knees when turning. You do not need a special dance shoe, but we do have some available for purchase in studio if desired.
Bad weather- Please bring a clean, dry pair of shoes to change into once in studio to keep our floors clean and safe

Nope! You do not need a partner for any of our classes. It is very common for people to come alone to classes. For partnering classes, we rotate around so everyone can dance with everyone. If you do have a partner, however, and want to stay with them instead of rotating that is ok too!
